For as long as we know, the sun has always been there.  Is it possible that we take this star for granted?

Here are a few interesting facts about the sun:

The Sun is so large that 109 Earths can fit into its diameter alone! Let that sink in for a minute, that’s hard to even imagine how large that is!

The surface of the Sun is primarily made up of intense burning gasses, so there is no surface to stand on. If we were to travel to the sun  and be able to survive the intense heat, the gravity would crush and pull us into the core.

The sun produces so much energy, about 94 billion megawatts, that it can be used to power homes, cars, business, and just about anything that uses energy. The sun feeds the plants and provides the warm days we love.

We owe a lot to the sun!
