Did you know Destin was founded in 1845? Destin was founded by none other than a fisherman, Captain Leonard Destin.

Destin became known as “The Luckiest Fishing Village” due to the Destin Pass which allows quick access to the deep Gulf of Mexico for excellent fishing.

Destin quickly grew and the first condo’s were built in the 1970’s. The Sea Oats Motel was one of the few beachfront motels of its kind. We are still unique in that way!
