Where Do You Go to See Christmas Lights around Destin?

As we join our friends celebrating The Festival of Lights this week, we couldn’t help but notice all of the many beautiful light displays in and around Sea Oats in Destin!
While just touring around the Emerald Coast this time of year provides plenty of opportunities to see twinkling lights in the palms, there are a few places to head if you are really in the mood to see some glittering lights in action!
12 Nights of Lights in the Events Plaza at Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin at 6, 7 and 8 pm every Friday and Saturday in December. Enjoy this festive light show set to your favorite holiday music every Friday for the holiday editions of the Wednesday Night Concert Series.
The Christmas Reflections event in DeFuniak Springs on the perfectly round lake in the center of the quaint Victorian style Historic District runs from 5 to 9 pm through December 31st. See how eight million Christmas lights multiply to become 16 million when reflected on the round lake in this very bright and very quaint nearby town!
The first annual Zoobilee of Lights at the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge Zoological Park in Crestview runs through December 23rd. Lights, live entertainment, Florida snowfall, cookie decorating and a very special appearance by Santa Claus and his merry friends! Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
Animation in Motion through December 27th on Hwy. 20 (John Sims Parkway) at the old Kmart building in Niceville. The 19th annual Christmas display features more than 600 animated dolls and is the largest Christmas Village in town with more than 1,000 pieces, and N-scale, H.O.-scale, O-scale and G-scale model trains.
Geek Lights on the Corner will be twinkling 85,000 lights to the beat starting at 6 pm through January 4th at the corner of Bluewater Boulevard and Antiqua Way in Bluewater Bay. Season 7 of the Christmas lights and music show begin on the hour and half hour starting at 6 pm with the last show starting at 9:30 pm Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 pm on weekends.
