The beach is a great place to entertain your children for hours.

Let them bring a friend for a fun filled play date at the beach.

Bring sand pails and shovels for building sandcastles and digging in the sand which can provide hours of fun for the little ones.  Of course, bring the beach ball, floats and any other toys they will want to play with.

One great way to make the playdate at the beach really special is to make giant bubbles.

• The night before mix together this solution:
• 2 cups dish soap (preferably Dawn)
• 1 cup light corn syrup
• 6 cups water

You will need wands of various sizes to make different sizes of bubbles…  The morning after the solution is made you can put the mixture into a bottle and go have fun making bubbles at the beach.

Kids love playing with bubbles. They love trying to make large bubbles, bubbles within bubbles and love chasing them.

There are other fun activities to keep your children busy playing at the beach.  Send them on a seashell treasure hunt  Give them their pails and have a contest for who can gather the most shells and who gets the largest shells.

A game of Dodgeball using the kids beach ball is fun too.  Turn the kids loose and look out for lots of excitement.
