In town for the holidays and looking for fun things to do?

When you have had enough white sand and surf (if that is possible), Destin and our surrounding area attractions will keep the troops entertained!

There are zoos, water parks, marine parks, mini golf, family entertainment centers, art shows and art galleries, live theater performances, wineries and plenty of free things to do at our many parks, beaches, museums, concerts and festivals.

We know it can be hard to fit it all in. So, we certainly understand if you need to come back to see us each year!

Here are a few ideas to get you started…

Marine Parks

There are two major marine parks: Gulf World Marine Park in Panama City Beach and The Gulfarium in Fort Walton Beach. You can enjoy a full day of family fun and feel good knowing both also serve as sea animal rescue operations.

Wildlife Parks and Zoos

There are several zoos in the region including the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge and Zoological Park in Crestview, Gulf Breeze Zoo and the Panhandle Butterfly House in Navarre.

Most of these wildlife and marine parks have seasonal holiday events and shows that are a wonderful addition to a holiday vacation in Destin.

Other Family Fun Stops

Though most of the water parks have closed for the season, there are several other family-friendly venues.

The Track Family Recreation Center in Destin features bumper cars and other rides. A Zip Line, Seasonal Ice Skating Rink, a Ropes Course and a climbing wall keep the family moving at Village of Baytowne Wharf.

Destin Commons and Silver Sands Outlets will keep the shop-a-holic teens quite happy as well!
