Destin is a beautiful beach town known as the Luckiest Fishing Village on Earth. Spend time on our incredibly white sandy beaches, visit one of several state parks on the area, or spend some time shopping and eating dinner of our world famous seafood!

There is always so much to do on the gorgeous Emerald Coast, no matter the time of year, that you and your family may not know where to start first!

Begin your day with a visit to the outstanding white sand beaches just moments from your rooms. Here, you will be able to take advantage of a fantastic beach archive that will provide your family with everything from chairs to umbrellas, to arranging access to water toys like jet skis, paddle boards, kayaks, parasailing and more. Getting to the beach early avoids the crowds, and leaves time for many other exciting adventures.

Next, head over to Destin Commons to grab a late lunch or early dinner. Along with a plethora of unique shops, selling everything from knick knacks to cosmetics to designer duds, and fresh, gourmet eateries ranging from the exotic to the homey in faire, there is also a movie theater, splash fountains, enormous playground, and a train that drives right up through the center of the outdoor mall. There’s sure to be something for everyone here!

In the late afternoon, head over to Henderson State Park to enjoy a walk along the pristine, protected shoreline where your family can watch native bird species, including bald eagle, scan for dolphins, fish, or simply stroll down a nature trail through the scrub pines. Catch one of our Technicolor sunsets with the ones you love for a memorable experience of a lifetime.

Once you’ve worn the family out, head over to the Village of Baytowne Wharf, which is a wonderful way to close out the day. For dinner, dine on your choice of fresh seafood, pizza or BBQ, or skip dinner and go straight for the homemade ice cream, Sno balls and candy for dessert. The Adventure Zone will keep the kids occupied with the zipline, ropes course, Euro Bungy, Tower Climb, and pirate playground.
